Cleopatra Celebrates Birthday With Industry Roast

LOS ANGELES — Pin-up model and sometime adult performer Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile, hosted a suit-and-tie event last night to celebrate the "House of Cleopatra" and her birthday with drinks and dinner, followed by an adult celebrity roast.

The party was thrown at dinner club Life on Wilshire in Los Angeles. Outside the swanky club, the red carpet was sponsored by fan show Adultcon, adult production company VCX, CleosOasis.com and TheCleopatraCollection.com.

Inside the venue, the setting was leather banquettes, dark woods and mirrors. On each table, there were rolls of toilet paper, indicating the kind of toilet humor that could be expected throughout the evening.

The party was in full swing as L.A. Nitelife host James Bartholet introduced a slideshow featuring the birthday girl, doing his best drink/cigarette-in-hand Dean Martin impression, decked out in a suit and tie.

Former KSEX radio personality Wankus then took the stage and did an uproarious improv routine with good-natured references to Cleo’s reputation for doing only girl/girl scenes and wrestling videos, as well as her unspecified age.

He then performed a song he had penned for the occasion, sung to the tune of Billy Joel’s “I Love You Just the Way You Are.”

Wankus sang, “You’re a modern woman with lots of class, girl. I like the way you style your hair. You’re so trendy, but I really like you — I’ll grease the wheels on your wheelchair.”

Wankus wore a black and white-striped zoot suit, and star-studded platform shoes, and received rousing applause from partygoers for his performance. Later, he told XBIZ that he’s been keeping a low profile since departing from KSEX, and currently is working on a project for DirecTV.

A! Entertainment’s Tony Batman, stylishly dressed also, finished out the set with a friendly tease about Cleopatra’s choice in men, followed by video clips of various of Cleopatra’s friends discussing her personal habits and choice in men. There also were several candid clips of Cleopatra at home.

At one point, Bartholet requested new Goldstar model Elena Heiress to lap dance for Cleopatra, and the voluptuous brunette did her best birthday grind.

Adult star Nicki Hunter was among the partygoers and told XBIZ that she was glad to be out and about after returning to performing after a 10-month absence caused by illness.

“I had a fabulous birthday for the House of Cleopatra ‘Nile Day’ celebration. I had the most amazing sponsors come forward and help me arrange the first porn roast in the industry and it was insane,” Cleopatra told XBIZ.

“The beautiful thing about it is that everybody had a good time. It was very funny, and I got to share the real, true Cleopatra, the real woman that people don’t see and that’s very important when with friends. So, I’m very proud of the people that stepped forward, and I had the most wonderful emcees and sponsors, and I’d do it all again,” she said.

Other adult celebrities who were on hand for the festivities included Monica Mayhem, Carmen Hart, Michelle McLaren, Betty Rage, Lori Pleasure, Kitty Lee and Precious.

Other industry members in attendance were Nick Manning, VCX owner Dave Sutton, director Roy Karch, Joel Lawrence, Renaud West, Donny Long and AINews.com’s Steve Nelson. Event sponsors included Exotique Lingerie, Glamour Girl magazine and Sardo’s Restaurant (the home of “Porn Star Karaoke”), located in Burbank, Calif.
