Buck Angel Screens Tranny Titles at Film Fests

AMSTERDAM — Award-winning female-to-male transsexual performer Buck Angel will be featured at the OUTrageous Film Festival in Santa Barbara, Calif., San Francisco’s Trannyfest and the 13th Annual Paris GLBT Film Fest, in Paris, France.

Tonight, “Schwarzwald: Rites XXVII,” a dance/music movie produced for the New York’s Black Party event and starring Angel, will be shown at the Outrageous Film Festival at the Metro Four Theatre in Santa Barbara, Calif.

“Buckback Mountain,” a parody title produced by Buck Angel Productions, will be screened during the Trannyfest Video and Film Festival, which will be held on Nov. 9-10 at the San Francisco GLBT Center on Market Street.

Angel’s newest release, “More Bang for Your Buck” will be featured during Buck Angel Night at the Paris GLBT Film Festival, scheduled Nov. 16, with a screening at the Cinema Beverly at 14 Rue de la Ville Neuve. The Cinema Beverly is the oldest adult theatre in Paris.

Angel is in Europe where he made a recent weeklong appearance at London-based leather bar HARDON, and is currently making appearances at Amsterdam’s Leather Week festivities with two performances at all-male leather bar Cockring.

“So it looks like my films are really getting out there," Angel wrote on his website's blog. "I am so excited because it really shows that not just porn people are interested in my work. I am really making a mark on the world and it feels so powerful. I was at breakfast this morning in my hotel and met some really cool men from Spain. They said they saw me when I was on TV in Spain last March. They were so nice and really respected what I was doing they said it totally turned them on.”
