"Fan Sexxx stars," among others, a female fan who flew from the U.K. to meet Evan Stone.
"Her name was Annabeth, and she's the cover girl," said Harry Jose, general manager of American Xcess. "She did her scene with Evan and she was smitten. It was something you rarely see. She stayed in town for a bit, did a few more scenes but no one's seen her since. When we tried to track her down in the U.K. but none of the production companies we contacted knew about her."
Jose said "Fan Sexxx" gives fans a unique opportunity, though it's one that not all of them are ready for.
"I give credit to the fans who don't just talk about having sex on camera with their favorite porn stars, but who step up to the plate," Jose said. "It's one thing to meet them at the AVN show in Vegas or to see them dance at the local strip club, but to drop your drawers in front of a production crew and get it on takes some balls."
Jose added that Yuma's concept to bring the stars together with their fans reflects the original titles from the innovative producers that American Xcess distributes.
"Consumers that buy adult product today are different from the ones from 10 years ago — they're much more discerning and picky about what they'll watch," he said. "The producers we carry, such as critically acclaimed performer Marco Banderas' Hot Zone and MSS Interactive from the U.K., emphasize quality in all aspects of their movies and keep those new consumers in mind."
