Channel 1 Releasing Receives 2 DAVID Awards

BERLIN — Gay production company Channel 1 Releasing (C1R) announced that the company had received two DAVID Awards at the awards ceremony held in Berlin.

The Best Director Award went to C1R partner Chi Chi LaRue, and the company was awarded the prize for Best Boxcover Art for “In His Dreams,” designed by Todd Alan.

According to C1R’s Tony Adonis, LaRue received a standing ovation from the audience as she accepted the award.

The DAVID Awards are presented by European gay adult industry publication GAYeLINE Magazine, and are held to coincide with the Venus Berlin adult trade show.

This is the second year for the DAVID Awards and marks also, the second Best Director win in a row for LaRue.

Immediately following the DAVID Awards, LaRue appeared as a celebrity DJ at Hustlaball Berlin on Friday night.

“Few directors have had such an impact on Gay Adult Video as Chi Chi LaRue. He is not only the most recognized personality in the industry, but he is also one of the only Directors that has managed to direct simultaneously for multiple major studios, such as Falcon, All Worlds, Vivid and Odyssey while keeping the integrity and best interest of each company in the forefront,” a statement from C1R said.

LaRue also has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work with C1R, including ‘Bolt,’ ‘The Back Row,’ ‘Wrong Side of the Tracks’ and the recently released ‘Link: The Evolution.’
