Stockroom to Celebrate Debut Retail Store With Gala

LOS ANGELES — Fetish specialty company company Stockroom.com will celebrate the opening of its debut Stockroom/Syren retail store Friday with a gala featuring music, wine and the high-end latex and leather the company is renowned for.

Stockroom.com Marketing Director Allain Rochel told XBIZ that he's excited for everyone to see how the store turned out and won't reveal any details until the big night.

"We're so happy," Rochel said. "Joey our designer designed the store the same way he did Stormy Leather [in San Francisco], and it's just gorgeous and elegant and classy. It's exactly in keeping with our aesthetic at Stockroom."

One of the best parts about the design, he said, is that the two-level space fits in with the antique architecture of the Stockroom.com building, which used to be a flag factory back in the day.

"It definitely does not have the feel of a store that you would put the brim up on your coat before you walk in," Rochel said.

Rochel said attendees can expect a full wine, cheese and dessert bar and a fashion show by fetish model Courtney Cruz and burlesque performer Diamondback Annie, with DJ Fever setting the party's mood.

"The two of them together are really something," Rochel said.

Stockroom/Syren, located at 2809 1/2 W. Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, officially will open its doors at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Stockroom owner JT also will be on hand to welcome regular and new customers to his store.

Stockroom/Syren will house the revamped Syren latex line, as well as Daedalus Publishing, adult product brand KinkLab and classic Stockroom.com wares.

“We expect industry pros and civilians alike to stroll through our doors during the grand opening gala," Rochel said. "It’s a momentous occasion for Stockroom, and we are honored to share it with our colleagues and valued clients, both current and prospective. Any way you slice it, a new Stockroom/Syren is coming to town, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. We’re ready to celebrate.”
