Former Head of Production Chris Steele has been promoted to Head of Studio and John Tegan, formerly with COLT Studio and Charger Studio, has been brought on as Jet Set’s first Director of Marketing.
“Jet Set has always produced high-quality videos with some of the industry’s hottest models such as Brett Mycles, Nickolay Petrov and Jesse Santana,” Jet Set President and CEO Nick Boyias said. “With Chris at the helm, Jet Set is sure to continue building upon this legacy.”
Steele, a former performer, has appeared in titles for Studio 2000, Rascal Video, Titan Media, Raging Stallion Studios, Falcon Studios and All Worlds Video, among others.
In his new role, Steele is responsible for overseeing all Jet Set Men productions including casting, producing and marketing. He also is responsible for overseeing production for the company’s other brands, including Jet Set International, Latin Heat and Toy Boxxx.
A noted director, Steele recently also completed production of Jet Set’s “On Fire!” which is one of 12 titles scheduled to be released by the studio in 2008. Co-directed with helmer Chad Donovan, “On Fire!” features Jet Set exclusive Jesse Santana and performer Dean Phoenix in his debut performance for the studio.
“My goal is for Jet Set to take its rightful place as a leader in gay adult videos by the release of one title per month, featuring the industry’s best models along with fresh, hot, new talent,” Steele said.
Steele will make his first public appearance as studio head at the Venus Berlin tradeshow in Berlin. He will be accompanied by Santana and Jet Set Man Guy Parker.
Tegan, who is an attorney by trade, joined the adult industry as president at COLT Studios and has a diverse background as a producer, talent manager and marketing executive.
Last year, Tegan produced several titles for Jet Set including “Workload,” “Jet Set Fraternity Gang Bang 2” and “Code Violators.”
“I have known and worked with the Jet Set team for the last year and I’m thrilled about now formally joining the family, especially under the capable leadership of Chris Steele, whose work ethic and strategic vision will serve Jet Set well in the coming years,” Tegan said.
Likewise, Steele said he is confident in Tegan’s talents and industry experience.
“[Tegan] has a knack for putting his finger on stories that resonate with our customers and for producing movies in a style that captures the viewers’ attention and deepest sexual fantasies,” Steele said.
