Topco Launches LaRue’s Rascal Toys With Party

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Topco Sales launched Chi Chi LaRue’s new Rascal toy line with an event at adult retailer Pleasure Chest Wednesday night in West Hollywood.

Channel 1 Releasing partner and director LaRue hosted the event, spinning a dance mix for party attendees, while Rascal exclusives Eddie Diaz and Cole Ryder showed off their realistic signature dildos.

“We’re having a great time,” Topco Public Relations Director Desiree Duffie told XBIZ. “It’s a fun event and the boys are great. Chi Chi was so integral in every step of developing the line with us; it’s just wonderful to do something special like this.”

Ryder told XBIZ that creating the realistic toys was an arduous process, requiring him to stay erect for several hours while the mold was cast. He said that he was happy with the results.

“Now I can go home and do myself,” Ryder said.

LaRue called out raffle winners who were awarded with either $100 gift certificates from the Pleasure Chest or Topco bags filled with products, which LaRue called “some fierce bags of shit.”

“The packaging looks great,” La Rue told XBIZ, as she pointed out the bold red-and-black labeling on the products in the Rascal plan-o-gram display.

The line features 18 new insertables including anal balls, plugs and dildos. The “Doubleteamer” double-ended dildo measured more than 2 feet in length. There also are two “Initiation” sets that come with three dildos in small, medium and large.

Cole and Diaz signature dildos are hand-painted and made from a trademarked material called Sensafirm.

After the Pleasure Chest event, the party moved down the street and continued at LaRue’s semi-regular “Dirty Deeds” club night at Fubar.

LaRue helmed the mix boards while go-go dancers entertained the crowd. Adult industry personalities seen in the crowd included Ross Cannon, Doug Jeffries and Lex Sabre, as well as Channel 1 Releasing Public Relations Director Tony Adonis.
