This gives IVD the sole rights to wholesale "Spunk'd" in brick-and-mortar stores and online retail sites.
6969 CEO Justin Kane told XBIZ that after shopping his film around to a few distributors, he knew IVD was the best fit when he saw how much IVD's Frank Kay believed in "Spunk'd."
"Before this we were merely a presence on the Internet," Kane said. "Now that we've got a renowned, recognized, established company like IVD saying how much they like the movie and want to push it, I couldn't be happier."
Kane said of the companies he discussed distributing with, IVD offered all of its resources — and the best deal — to push his film.
Kay said he and IVD are looking forward to getting "Spunk'd" a great deal of recognition and already are starting to place it in stores in the U.S. as well as worldwide.
“Have you seen this movie?” Kay said. "'Spunk’d' is the perfect movie for those looking for great sex in a completely unique production. This is MTV and reality TV all rolled into one great movie — I can see it getting nominated for numerous awards."
Kane said he learned that though "Spunk'd" was released on DVD only a few days ago, the initial sales numbers are strong.
"This project will have unbelievably long legs and carry through '08, so it’s great to be partners with Justin,” IVD's Kay said.
"Spunk'd The Movie" stars Hillary Scott, Penny Flame, Katie Morgan, Aurora Snow, Jada Fire, Ginger Lea, Dru Berrymore, Eva Angelina, Kelly Brooks, Kaiya Lynn, Lexi Belle and Vanessa Lane in six sex scenes including five group encounters.
