“The timing was perfect for us to come out with this Brady Bunch spoof,” the movie’s producer Jeff Mullen said. “The reaction has been incredible with mainstream press jumping all over our story, which has helped make this the No. 1 selling adult movie in America.”
Aiding in the adult spoof’s marketing push are recent comments from Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady), who said that she had a crush on costar Eve Plumb (Jan Brady) and that the two had kissed. McCormick is working on her tell-all memoir, but the book’s publisher denied that there would be revelations of a lesbian affair between the two “sisters.”
Yesterday, the New York Post published a story about “Not the Bradys XXX” in its Page 6 celebrity gossip column. Mullen also has appeared on “The Kevin & Bean Show” on KROQ in Los Angeles.
Tonight’s edition of “The Insider” features comments from McCormick and Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) and their reactions to the adult movie spoof.
