"I was having a lot of problems finding the right model, someone who matched the image in my head of what a leather daddy should look like," Simone said. "To me, leather daddies are the manliest of all men, they have muscles and hairy chests. It's hard to find men with hairy chests in Los Angeles, which is a shame because I think they're really sexy. I met Cole Ryder at an in-store signing and he was perfect."
"In my past photo shoots I'm always represented as a hard, rough, sometimes mean leather daddy," said Cole Ryder, former contract star of Chi Chi LaRue, of the shoot with Simone. "It was really nice to be able to show a more gentle, human side of a leather man's life."
The opening reception is Friday from 7-10 p.m. Simone's work will be on display until Oct. 28.
