Deep Star Now Pure Play Broadcasting

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Deep Star Broadcasting Systems Inc. has formally changed its corporate name to Pure Play Broadcasting Corp.

Deep Star, which is owned and operated by Pure Play Media Inc., launched in July 2005 to distribute licensed adult content to cable, satellite and telephone companies for the video-on-demand market.

"Deep Star has quietly but diligently built a solid business since its inception," Pure Play Media CEO Richard Arnold said. "By changing the name, we feel we can now better associate it with the Pure Play brand name and all of the great lines that we represent. The change also provides company synergy, which will allow us to promote our content using multiplatform marketing initiatives."

Pure Play Broadcasting Corp. distributes video content from Naughty America, The Score Group, Seymore Butts and Swank Digital, plus two cutting-edge Internet companies that specialize in niche-specific content: Silver Sinema and Hundies.

Pure Play Broadcasting has an audience of 12 million households across North America, and also provides programming to satellite operators in Brazil and Mexico, and premium and broadcast channels in Europe.

"We have agreements with some of the world's leading content providers, which gives us an opportunity to offer the widest variety of genres to the adult consumer," Arnold said. "Whether a customer is looking for high-end features or wall-to-wall amateur, Pure Play Broadcasting can provide the end user with the programming of their choice."

Pure Play Broadcasting is led by Senior Vice President of Network Development Bill Furrelle, whose background in the broadcast business includes positions at the Playboy Entertainment Group, Chaos Media Networks and Viewer's Choice (now iNDemand LLC).

"The management team at Pure Play Broadcasting brings over 100 years of combined adult industry experience to the table," Furrelle said. "Our management team offers expertise in content acquisitions, scheduling and programming, and an in-depth knowledge of the constantly evolving world of technology."
