“There’s really nothing like it, that I know of,” Sexopolis promoter Courtney told XBIZ. “It’s a concert/theatre-sized venue with professional-event-quality production, so we know that people are going to have a good time.”
Butts also will bring along several performers from his Lighthouse Talent Agency including Sunny Lane, Jada Fire and Veronica Rayne.
Other personalities scheduled to appear included Pleasure Productions’ rocker director Matt Zane, who will serve as “anti-host,” as well as Joanna Angel and several of the models from her BurningAngel.com website.
Zero Tolerance contract star Courtney Cumz will appear, along with Gianna Lynn, sisters Ava and Mia Rose, Jessica Jaymes and director/performer Kurt Lockwood.
The Lighthouse Agency also will sponsor “porn star tryouts” for partygoers interested in the industry. Agents will be there to make on-the-spot evaluations, take photos and provide contact information.
Erotic art and photography by some of the best-known names in adult will be on display, including the work of Holly Randall, David Naz and Octavio Winkytiki. A premiere art installation by alt porn founder Eon McKai also will be shown.
Performances on the Sexopolis main stage include burlesque entertainment, sexy demos and performances, a lingerie/pajama fashion show and a porn starlet pillow fight.
According to Courtney, as word of the event spreads many adult industry members are interested in attending, but most of the response is coming from mainstream consumers attracted to the party’s adult-oriented flavor.
“The interest level and the amount of people trying to get on the list really indicates that this is going to be a big event,” Courtney said. “Capacity at the venue is 2,000 and we’re hoping to sell out, as well as sell out the VIP passes that allow pass-holders all-access to the rooftop lounge and upstairs areas.”
Attendees are encouraged to wear bedtime clothing to coordinate with the event’s “pajama party” theme.
Event sponsors include online retailer SexToy.com, video-on-demand provider HotMovies.com, latex fashion house Syren and adult retailer The Pleasure Chest.
The first 300 women in attendance will receive a gift from SexToy.com.
Sexopolis will take place on Aug. 31 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. at the Henry Fonda Theatre, located at 6126 Hollywood Blvd., in Hollywood, Calif.
