Blatt was invited on the show to speak about the legalities of celebrity sex tapes, the stories behind their release and the public relations benefit for celebrities looking to release them.
Blatt is no stranger to the celebrity sex tape world. He was the marketing guru behind Red Light District’s “1 Night in Paris” and has been involved in the (unreleased) sex tapes of Cameron Diaz and Colin Farrell.
Appearing alongside Blatt is Dustin “Screech” Diamond, the former child star known for his role on “Saved By the Bell.” Diamond released a homemade sex tape earlier this year featuring himself and two girls through Red Light District, titled “Screeched.”
“[Star] is all over 2257 and wants to know about Paris’ involvement in her sex tape,” Blatt told XBIZ. “After Star read about what the law was she said ‘that must mean you have to have a model release.’ I said ‘Bingo!’”
In other Blatt news, a mainstream documentary about his aborted reality show is releasing Sept. 11 on DVD. “American Cannibal” enjoyed limited nationwide theatrical release, but gets new life on DVD through Life Size Entertainment. Blatt also said Showtime has picked up the movie and will air it in January 2008.
