"I have a lot of ideas and want to make them happen, and so does Vivid," Taormino said.
Taormino said each toy will be packaged with an educational component, teaching the user about the toy, but would not specify if it would be in DVD or written form.
Taormino said that Vivid has a ready and existing relationship with adult toy manufacturer Doc Johnson, but is not yet positive that Doc Johnson will be the official manufacturer of the Vivid-Ed line.
She also said that a line of Tristan Taormino-branded toys featured in the company's most recent catalog is not to be confused with what Taormino and Vivid are planning.
Chad Braverman, director of product development and licensing, told XBIZ that the initial Tristan Taormino Signature Line featured in the catalog is a project that he and Vivid have decided not to continue.
"As of right now we are reevaluating the Vivid-Ed/Tristan Taormino toy line, and we do not have any projects slated for an initial release," Braverman said.
Vivid Director of Operations Marci Hirsch told XBIZ that the line is in transition, and a formal announcement will be made soon.
Taormino's Vivid-Ed line of DVDs include expert guides to cunnilingus, fellatio and the G-spot.
