Ken Eckert, Paradise's vice president of sales and marketing, said that Manglide is the first product to be released in Astroglide's new line made especially for the gay male market.
"Astroglide has always respected and been a friend to the gay community," Eckert said. "For this very important niche market, we are pleased to announce Manglide is now available. Additional items will be added to the line in the future."
Astroglide's telltale curved bottle was adapted for the new line — its colors have changed from purple and red to black and gray, and the curved plastic container has been replaced by a standard upright bottle.
Manglide was first unveiled at the AVN Novelty Expo last month, and Eckert said buyers' response was great and the fact that several retailers already have reordered the item is a good sign.
The product, available in 4-ounce bottles, is available with a "For the Man Inside You" poster for retail display purposes.
