Trannywood Pictures.com Launches VOD Site

SAN FRANCISCO — Transsexual production company Trannywood Pictures has launched its video-on-demand site at TrannywoodPicturesVOD.com . The company specializes in “trans men” or female-to-male (FTM) transsexual content.

The VOD site brings several alternative sexuality-oriented studios under the Trannywood umbrella with content from lesbian studios Fatale Media and L Factor, transsexual production companies Gia Darling Entertainment and Buck Angel Productions, and boutique studio Comstock Films, to name a few.

Trannywood Pictures’ debut title “Cubby Holes” also is available on the site on a pay-per-view basis.

Trannywood Director of Operations Ken Rowe said the company has been selective about the content on the VOD site, as well as traditional retail outlets that will carry “Cubby Holes,” which features FTM performers.

“We want each location to be a place that is welcoming to trans guys and their fans, as well as know where to shelve our DVDs. Our films under Trannywood Pictures are definitely gay, definitely man-on-man action,” Rowe said.

Retailers carrying the titles include Babeland and Good Vibrations, as well as Smitten Kitten in Minneapolis, Minn.; Early To Bed and Tulip stores in Chicago; Sugar in Baltimore, Md.; Hysteria in Denver, Col.; and Miko in Providence, R.I.

According to Trannywood talent coordinator Dex Hardlove, the company is currently in post-production for two new titles, tentatively called “Couch Surfers 1 & 2.”

By clicking on the “my site home” link at the VOD site, users are redirected to Trannywood’s main page where they can access an extensive safe sex guide that addresses particular concerns of transsexual safe sex play.

“From the beginning,” Hardlove said, “we wanted to be community-based porn. Social networking sites have shown just how big and how much support is out there for porn like ours.”
