Theresa Flynt Featured in Oprah Magazine

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Hustler Vice President of Licensing Theresa Flynt is featured in the July issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, in an article titled "Eyes Wide Open," written by adult industry writer Violet Blue. The article gives readers an overview of currently available adult material, noting "porn won't make you do anything you didn't already want to do before you pressed play on the 'Edward Penishands' DVD."

“I'm a huge fan of Oprah's. When I got the call, I was impressed that they were covering this subject in such a positive light,” Flynt told XBIZ. “Obviously it's apparent that a lot of people follow Oprah, and this opens people's eyes to being more open to adult material."

Flynt created the Hustler Hollywood retail chain, which now numbers 11 stores.

"It's the same thing I did with the Hustler Hollywood stores. A woman would come in skeptical, but then she would leave and tell all her friends 'It's OK, we can buy these things,'" Flynt said. "We live in a bubble, and we forget what the rest of the world thinks. People think that only men buy porn, and we have to break that stereotype. Times are changing, and we're changing them with our stores. We're moving forward.”

The July issue of O is on newsstands now.
