All Media Play Launches Britney Rears Radio Blitz

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The always fuzzy line between the adult entertainment and music industries could disappear altogether, thanks to “I Wanna Get Laid,” the ultra-catchy first single from porn-pop sensation Britney Rears.

Radio promotions firm UNCLE is delivering the tune to more than 200 radio stations this week as Rears kicks off a cross-country tour of music industry events, radio stations, retail stores and strip clubs.

Rears first scheduled appearance is this Friday night at a party for music and radio industry executives in conjunction with the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. She’s slated to spend the following night meeting fans and signing autographs at AAA News in Austin.

Although X-Play/VCA Pictures’ “Britney Rears: Wild Backstage Sex Party” was released just last week and the starlet is new to the industry, the theme song has already garnered widespread media attention.

“I Wanna Get Laid,” a four-letter-laden spoof of the bubble-gum pop typical of another Britney with a curiously similar last name, has enjoyed airtime on Howard Stern’s syndicated radio show, among others.

“People are just eating it up,” said All Media Play publicist Shari. “It’s like that video game, Tetris. It’s so beautifully catchy. It constantly plays in your head and you find yourself humming it.”

To reach the widest possible audience, All Media Play has released a more radio-friendly, edited version. Shari said that in addition to sending copies of the song to radio programmers, the company is exploring P2P distribution over file-sharing networks such as Napster.
