Rain faced stiff competition from Kami Andrews, Railee, Renee Pornero and Aurura Snow. All five contestants dressed in bathing suits while answering personality questions and reenacting scenes from their videos.
First up was Andrews, known by Stern fans for an audio clip that gets frequent air play on the show in which she calls herself a “messy, little spit-covered… pig.”
Andrews told Stern that in her most recent movie, she plays a drug-sniffing German Shepard and spent a full day working with a dialog coach to get her bark just right.
“Fortunately, I know what cocaine smells like,” Andrews commented.
Raylee Dean went next, acting out an audio clip from her first adult scene, during which she broke down and cried.
For her personality question, Stern asked, “If you could have any super power, what would it be?” to which Raylee replied that she would like to “spread love all over” by granting orgasms like a fairy godmother.
Stern then welcomed Austrian beauty Renee Pornero, best known to Stern fans for a scene in which she asks, “Are you proud of me mom and dad?”
Pornero told Stern she had recently been sued by the Austrian Catholic Church for using a crucifix in an indecent manner while playing a nun in a scene.
When asked what she would be doing if she weren’t in the adult industry, Pornero said she would probably be a rock star.
Next up was AVN’s 2003 Female Performer of the Year, Aurora snow. Stern said Snow’s audio clip, in which she quack like a duck while performing a vigorous oral scene, was his favorite. It’s also apparently the favorite of fans, many of whom have incorporated the clip in song parodies.
When asked what she thought was the greatest invention of the last century, Snow thought for a few seconds, then answered, “Stem-cell research.”
Taylor Rain was the day’s final contestant and the source of the Stern show’s second-most-frequently played porn clip, which essentially consists of Rain ecstatically repeating the phrase, “Ohhhhh, yeeaaahhh!”
After reenacting her clip, Rain told Stern she has a prescription for marijuana to help her deal with anxiety and had taken a strong dose of her medication before coming on the show. The censors had their work cut out for them during Rain’s interview -- large portions of her conversation were dumped, apparently for being too hot for public airwaves.
Despite being razzed for admitting she doesn’t like having sex with other women, Rain was crowned this year’s porn beauty queen.
The contest was judged by three members of Stern’s Wack Pack -- actor Gianni Russo, who played Carlo Rizzi in The Godfather, Stern staff member and avid porn collector Richard Christy and John the Stutterer, a man named John who frequently stutters.
