According to Playtime, the cans will be donated to area food banks and soup kitchens on Nov. 23.
Customers are limited to one free DVD per day and DVD selection is done at random.
Operation Vibration is better known for donating dozens of vibrators to Iraqi women.
“Too often the human need for sensuality is overlooked,” said Nick Smerecki, general manager of Playtime. “These women have been subjugated and treated so poorly for so long. They desperately need to embrace their sensuality.”
The project was initially met with confusion among locals near the sex shop, according to Merchandise Manage Mike Drake.
“One local sorority actually brought several into the store to donate,” said Drake. “I explained that we would be sending new, unused vibrators and the girls were a bit embarrassed but in the end they laughed and donated a few dollars to the cause.”
The company’s porn for food promotion ends at midnight on Nov. 23.
