Jesse Jane/Digital Playground Sweep Venus Award Show

VAN NUYS, Calif. – Making a sweep of two out of three awards given to the American porn industry, Digital Playground contract star Jesse Jane and director Robby D walked away with an armful of awards at the 8th Annual Venus Award Show in Berlin, Germany.

The event was hosted by German drag queen Olivia Jones.

Jesse Jane, who has recently been making waves in the mainstream media, received the “International Erotic Award Venus 2004 – Best American Actress," and Robby D was tapped as the Best American Director.

Other U.S. nominees for Best American Actress included Jenna Jameson and Jewel De Nyle.

Elegant Angel’s "Compulsion" won for Best American Movie.

“Thank you so much for recognizing my efforts this year," Jesse said in her acceptance speech. "I have been a part of some very hard and very rewarding productions and I would not have been eligible for this honor if not for the mastery of Joone and Robby D.”

The Venus Award Show is part of a yearly three-day tradeshow called the Venus Fair that features more than 300 exhibitors from more than 20 countries displaying erotic content, toys and porn talent.

This year's show was sponsored by well-known international adult companies Orion.de, Private Media, Beate Uhse and Magma Film.

"Jesse Jane and Robby D. have worked very hard this year and these nods are fantastic confirmation for us," said Sam, one of Digital Playground's producers. "The Venus Fair provides excellent business opportunities year after year and these prestigious awards make us even more visible to our international clients. I'd like to thank everyone who voted and the show sponsors for their acknowledgments and support."

Jesse Jane and Teagan Presley are scheduled to appear at Erotica UK, on Nov. 16th - 21st in London, England.
