Digital Playground Dominates at Nightmoves

TAMPA, Fla. — Digital Playground topped out at the 12th Annual Nightmoves Adult Entertainment Awards ceremony held in Clearwater this week, bringing home more accolades than any other production company, including the coveted reader-selected Best Production Company.

Hosted by Ron Jeremy, Jenna Jameson, and a handful of other stars, the five-day event was graced by a break in the tropical storms affecting the East Coast and even featured a on-stage marriage proposal made by Nightmoves National Features Editor Art Koch.

“This year’s show was a fantastic success and I’d like to thank all the studios and stars for their support,” said Paul Allen, publisher of Nightmoves magazine. “It is always an honor to have our industry cohorts in town to celebrate.”

“We are thrilled to award Digital Playground Best Production Company,” Allen said. “They’re always a pleasure to work with and everything that comes out of their offices, from Jesse Jane to the award-winning ‘Jack’s Playground’ series, reflects high production values and quality.”

During the course of the ceremony, Digital Playground also took home the Editor’s Choice award for Best Adult Website for its web show “DP Tonight,” hosted by contract stars Jesse Jane, Devon and Teagan Presley, and Best Overall Series for Robby D’s “Jack’s Playground.”

“Each of these awards represents the blood, sweat and tears that went into the productions,” said Samantha Lewis, president of Digital Playground.

Every genre of the Nightmoves awards features two honors features both a Editor’s Choice category, selected by the senior staff from Nightmoves magazine, and a Fan’s Choice, to indicate the popular vote.

Alexis Amore and Stormy received awards for Best Actress, and Lexington Steele and Stephen St. Croix each received Best Actor awards.

Best new starlet accolades went to Avy Scott and Krystal Steal and the Miss Congeniality award went to Olivia O’Lovely.

Movies singled out at the ceremony included both “Bella Loves Jenna,” and “Rawhide,” for Best Feature and “DreamGirls,” for Fan’s Choice Best Series.

Other award winners included Private for Editor’s Choice Best Production Company, Sin City’s ten-year-long “Whoriental Sex Academy” line for Editor’s Choice “Best Interracial / Ethnic Series, and “Assploitations 2” for Fan’s Choice Best Gonzo.

“It’s awesome,” said Aurora Snow, director of “Assploitations 2”. “I really didn’t expect to win. It was quite a shock. I couldn’t be happier.”
