Kick Ass’ ‘Bullets Not Boobs’ Promotion to Award Soldier

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Porn star Mary Carey and Kick Ass Pictures President Mark Kulkis are awarding former Army Specialist Jennifer Zandstra a $500 check on Wednesday for not spending government money for a boob job.

It’s all a part of Kick Ass’ “Bullets Not Boobs” protest movement which opposes the U.S. military’s offer of free breast implants and other plastic surgery as a recruiting tool.

“I understand that the armed services are desperate for new recruits given the current situation in Iraq,” Carey told XBiz. “But as a taxpayer and a woman, I refuse to sit back and allow my money to be spent on disfiguring American women.”

Chatsworth, Calif.-based Kick Ass, which has a “no fake breasts” guarantee on its releases, is promoting the event outside the Armed Force’s Recruiting Center in Hollywood.

According to The New Yorker Magazine, from 2002 to 2003, the Army has reportedly provided 496 boob jobs to women in uniform – all at taxpayer expense.

Liposuction is the most popular form of cosmetic surgery Army surgeons have provided soldiers free of charge. Breast surgery comes in second.

Jef Hickey, a publicist for Kick Ass, considers this to be a waste of taxpayer funds.

“We’re the ones paying for it. Our tax money for the military should go to bullets, not boobs,” Hickey told XBiz.

Zandstra was honorably discharged two weeks ago and will receive an additional gift certificate for $500 in high-end lingerie.

A Texas resident, Zandstra is the first of several discharged female soldiers in line to receive the “Bullets Not Boobs” award from Kick Ass, Kulkis said. She was stationed in Kuwait while overseas.

Kick Ass has a history of marketing promotions that spin-off of topical news. During California’s gubernatorial recall race, Kick Ass contract girl Carey ran against Arnold Schwarzenegger and other candidates.

Wednesday’s event begins at 11 a.m. at the Armed Forces Recruiting Center on the northeast corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Hollywood.
