The meet-the-porn-stars happening is taking place on Sunday at Entertanium Studios in downtown Los Angeles.
British porn star and X-Con II promoter Layla Jade told XBiz that she and two other adult talents, Selena Silver and Victoria Givens, are flying from Los Angeles to New York to appear live on Howard Stern’s show. They will promote X-Con II on Friday on Stern’s ribald radio program.
According to Jade, a number of adult performers will promote X-Con II on Wankus’ KSEXradio.com program at 7 p.m. tonight, and again on Wankus’ Saturday's show. The KSEX host’s guests will include Jade, Rubee Tuesday, Cumisha Amando, and possibly Anita Cannibal, who is unconfirmed as of press time.
In addition, porn stars participating in X-Con II will be on Playboy Radio at 5 p.m. on Thursday. They include Amando and Violet Blue, and possibly Brooke Hunter, who is unconfirmed as of press time.
Jade stressed to XBiz that X-Con differs from adult industry trade shows by placing the emphasis on fans meeting their favorite adult performers in an informal setting.
“The girls do not pay to participate. We do not take a commission from the merchandise they sell. This is about the girls, who make this industry. We are giving something back to them,” Jade said. X-Con II could profit by charging fans up to $30 for tickets to attend.
However, attendance was reportedly low at X-Con I, which took place in April at Entertanium Studios, which doubles as home to swinger venue L.A. Couples.
Jade said that event organizers only had a few weeks to put the first X-Con together.
“This time, we have had lots of time to prepare for X-Con II, and to promote it,” Jade told XBiz. “More people are aware of it now, and much bigger names are attending.”
Jade said they include Alexis Amore, Haven, Ashley Long, Nicole Sheridan, and Avy Scott.
Jade’s July 30 appearance on Howard Stern’s show is not her first. Last December, Jade was in-studio with Stern, and the porn star told XBiz: “Howard was totally into me.” Asked if this led to any off-the-air romance, Jade said, “Unfortunately no. But if Howard wanted to bang me, I wouldn’t say no!”
X-Con II takes place at 2260 E. 15th St., Los Angeles, on Sunday. Tickets are $25.
