This week in London, the Xplicit British Film Festival issued an invitation for amateur porn video submissions. According to the festival's organizers, the winner of the contest will be offered a contract to direct a film for XplicitXXX, part of hardcore adult channel Xplicit 984.
The Xplicit British Film Festival is the first erotic festival of its kind in England and will take place in September. The event will be held at an undisclosed London theater.
In addition to the contract, the winner of the best amateur adult video will also win two airplane tickets to what the event's producers are calling the "porn capital of the world," Los Angeles.
Entries must be between 5-20 minutes in length and will air on XplicitXXX.
Xplicit 984 is one of the sponsors of the event and was founded by Amanda Kiss in 2003. Kiss also owns AmandaKiss.co.uk, a website that features sex toys, lingerie, and bondage gear.
Kiss has been a central force in bringing porn to the forefront of British culture and has described her goal as an effort to "revolutionize porn and take it to the mainstream."

"It represents a milestone in history and demonstrates that sex is no longer a taboo here in the U.K. It really is refreshing to see that us normally prudish Brits are finally realizing that adult entertainment is not a sin. A British company has also announced plans to launch a reality porn series titled, "Private Stars," which features a group of porn stars sharing a house.
The show is based on the interaction between five female porn stars and five men who have no connection to the porn industry.
The show's maker has said that viewers can expect plenty of sexual fireworks between all of the members in the house.
"Private Stars" will air in 10 segments in August on cable and satellite television.
