SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The Stonewall National Museum, Archives, and Library will host a fundraising event featuring Falcon/Nakedsword Co-Chief Content Officer and Chief Creative Marketing Officer Ben Rush.
The event will be held Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. (EDT) at the Stonewall National Museum in Fort Lauderdale.
“Every ticket purchase directly benefits Stonewall at a time when government funding has been withdrawn and support for LGBTQ+ cultural institutions is increasingly uncertain,” said a rep. “This special evening offers guests the opportunity to celebrate LGBTQ+ culture while helping ensure that the community’s history and experiences remain visible and accessible for generations to come.”
Rush enthused about the fundraiser.
“People have all kinds of ideas of what goes on behind the scenes in adult entertainment, and the reality is much funnier, stranger, and more interesting than they imagine,” he said. “I’m looking forward to sharing stories, answering questions, and having some laughs while supporting an organization that does such important work preserving the LGBTQ+ community’s history.”
Added Robert Kesten, President of the Stonewall National Museum, Archives, and Library:
“As government attacks on LGBTQ+ rights and freedom of expression increase, we are deeply grateful for the support of Falcon/Nakedsword and Ben Rush, and for our shared commitment to protecting the First Amendment,” he said. “Their meaningful support helps us ensure that our stories are impossible to erase. At a time when censorship and attempts to silence our community are growing, this partnership makes clear that the freedom to tell our own stories must be defended.”
