LOS ANGELES — Multi-XMAs winner Cherie DeVille spoke at a UC Santa Barbara film studies class this week, discussing sexuality, media, and culture.
This marked DeVille’s second appearance in Professor Constance Penley’s Film Studies class.
“I was absolutely honored to get the opportunity to speak to Professor Penley’s class for the second time,” said DeVille. “The students were incredibly thoughtful and engaged, and I appreciated the opportunity to openly discuss the intersections of sexuality, media, and culture in an academic setting.
“I have to applaud Professor Penley's ongoing dedication to the subject,” she added. “I strongly believe conversations like these help foster understanding, challenge stereotypes, and encourage critical thinking.”
