LOS ANGELES — Digital Playground has dropped “In The Bag,” a ‘70s-inspired comedy from multi-XMAs winner Ricky Greenwood.
The feature stars Elly Clutch, Addison Vodka, Willow Ryder, Isiah Maxwell, and Scott Nails.
“When horny detectives Davis and DeSoto (Clutch and Vodka) find themselves one mistake away from being sentenced to desk duty, they’re handed the biggest case of their careers — solving the murder of a glamorous Hollywood actress,” the synopsis reveals. “With temptation lurking around every corner and a cast of promiscuous suspects clouding the investigation, staying focused may prove harder than cracking the case itself.”
Greenwood enthused about the production.
“‘In The Bag’ was one of the most fun movies I’ve had the chance to direct,” he said. “Setting the story in the ‘70s, surrounded by muscle cars, loud fashion, and that whole gritty aesthetic of the era gave the film a unique energy from day one. It’s a wild, buddy-cop comedy with a lot of personality, and Elly and Addison absolutely crush it. Their chemistry on set was natural from the start, and a lot of the comedy works because of how effortlessly they play off each other. They brought confidence, timing, and a real sense of fun to every scene.”
Clutch praised the production.
“Working with Ricky is always one of my favorite things,” she said. “I am super passionate about larger projects and being able to really throw myself into a role, and his productions for Digital Playground really allow me to do that. Addison and I are best friends in real life, so it was an absolute dream being able to work alongside her. Not only was this our first time working together, but it was also our first sex scene ever together; I can honestly say we made magic.”
Added Vodka, “Working on this project with Elly was a very surreal experience for me. She is an amazing performer, and I was honored to be working alongside her. I’m so proud to have done this with her and can’t wait for everyone to see it. Not everyone can say they’ve made a feature film with their best friend.”
Part one of "In The Bag" is streaming on Digital Playground.
