PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Ryan Orion and Derek Kage star in "Drifters," a gay adult miniseries from Ducati Studios' Trailer Trash Boys.
Written and directed by Daddy Patrick, "Drifters" features 14 sex scenes and co-stars Max Adonis, Brian Bonds, Kane Fox, Serg Shepard, Joel Someone, Jonah Wheeler, and Sean Xavier.
Orion plays Handsome, "a young drifter whose outward beauty hides a deeper longing to be seen, chosen, and claimed," the synopsis reveals. "His emotional journey, and his connection with Kage's Dude, give the season its central romantic arc."
Produced by Trenton Ducati for Ducati Studios Network, "Drifters" departs from traditional Western music cues, featuring an original modern theme song by Jasun Mark.
"'Drifters' came from the desire to make something larger in scale, more emotionally resonant, and more cinematic,” said Patrick. "We wanted to build an episodic series with recurring characters whose experiences would unfold across a broader seasonal arc, rather than exist as isolated moments. The cowboy element came naturally, but this is not about 19th-century mythology. It is about the gay cowboy as a sensual, stylized, deeply queer figure. The goal was to create characters the audience would find undeniably sexy, but also emotionally legible and relatable. These are men viewers can desire, identify with, argue over, and invest in."
Added Ducati, "With 'Drifters,' I wanted to create the kind of content people come back to. It has sex, story, characters, and a world you want to spend time in. The cowboy theme also hits home for me. I was in rodeo as a teenager in New Mexico, so there is a personal connection to this material."
"Drifters" will begin streaming on May 20 on Ducati Studios' website before it debuts on NakedSword in August.
