Royal Fetish Films to Present BIPOC Kink and Fetish Dataset Next Week

LOS ANGELES — King Noire and Jet Setting Jasmine of Royal Fetish Films will present "Unveiling Desires: Final Data Review" over Zoom on Tuesday, April 28, from 8-10 p.m. (EDT).

The presentation will share findings from a community-generated descriptive analysis of BIPOC kink and fetish preferences collected over nine years. The dataset includes 1,261 submissions, approximately 256 kink and fetish categories, and 51 statistically significant shifting categories.

The project extends RFF's mission into data, cultural analysis, sex education, community accountability, and creative cultural work. It asks deeper questions about how desire is named, how kink is categorized, how BIPOC communities are represented, and what gets lost when mainstream adult media, clinical spaces, and research institutions rely on limited or race-flattening frameworks.

The analysis will be interpreted by a diverse and highly qualified research team, including Dr. Nicole O. Crawford, Kiana Cummings, Dr. Tanya Bass, Dr. Marla R. Stewart, Laila Ocean, Carl Bunche, Binyam Welday, Jordyn Gross, and Alexis Guess.

In addition to the final data review, the event will include an announcement from the research team about the next phase of the project.

"Royal Fetish Films has always been about more than what appears on camera," said N. Jasmine Johnson of Royal Fetish Films. "This project allows us to look at the language, patterns, and cultural meaning behind desire. It gives us a way to honor the community knowledge that has always existed, while also asking what better research, better care, and improved education could look like."
