Violet Voss on Parlaying Her Fetish Roots Into a Breakout Year

The term “raven-haired beauty” may have become somewhat of a cliché, but every now and then, a star comes along who truly fits the bill. Performer and fetish creator Violet Voss is just such a presence.

Voss has been on a hell of a roll lately, including being named XMAs Favorite Fetish Star at January’s mega X3 Expo in Los Angeles. She says she was amazed to hear her name called out as the winner.

“I had no idea that it was really even a possibility,” Voss tells X3. “There were so many other great performers in that category. I was like, ‘There’s no way I’m going to win!’ So there was pure shock when I heard my name called up on the stage. Before I even registered it, everybody around me was cheering for me: ‘Go, go, go!’”

Voss says she felt particularly gratified to be honored in that specific category, since it took her back to her roots in the industry.

“I got my start as a fetish model and a dominatrix,” she recalls. “So it was really nice for so many fans to support me and vote for me.”

Rebel, Rebel

Voss’ path to adult stardom was a bit convoluted — a multistate journey with several career stops along the way. Born and raised in Waco, Texas, she grew up in a conservative family.

“They were very religious,” she says. “I wanted to get very far away from all of that.”

“Very far away” turned out to mean New York City, where the future fetish queen found herself studying something much more conventional: finance.

“The only way that my parents would even remotely support me going to school was if it was a religious college,” Voss explains. “So I went to a small religious school in the financial district. They had a lot of rules: No drinking, no boys in the dorms, no staying out past midnight.

“I broke every single one,” she laughs.

In no time, school officials called Voss on the carpet for her rebellious behavior.

“They started showing me my Instagram posts, and telling me that it was clear that I was going out to the clubs, that I was drinking, and multiple roommates had told them I’d had boys over,” she remembers. “So that was it. The next day, at 7 or 8 in the morning, they knocked on my door and told me to pack up my stuff and get out, immediately.”

Voss found the experience to be more than a little traumatic.

“Having people banging on your door early in the morning, kicking you out with no warning? It definitely scarred me,” she recalls. “I’m okay now, but it was a good five years that I was really affected by that.”

‘I decided to go all-in’

The academic powers that be told Voss that she could take a year to reconsider her life choices, then appeal to be let back in again. Instead, after couch surfing briefly in a studio apartment belonging to her best friend and her best friend’s boyfriend, she headed back home to Texas.

“My family was in real estate, and it was something that I wanted to do for a very long time,” Voss explains. “So I got my license and became a real estate agent.”

For the next three years, she worked selling homes in the Dallas area — until she was hit with a double whammy. First, the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I was with this really big company and they had a massive layoff,” she says. “I was one of the employees that they let go.”

Then, Voss’ father passed away. In the wake of that loss, she decided to take a break, to figure out what she really wanted to do.

“I realized that I really didn’t want to go back to real estate,” she says. “I love salespeople; I love that they are so good at it. But that’s just not me. My attitude was, ‘If you don’t want this house, don’t fucking buy it!’ That’s how I am.”

Meanwhile, Voss had been modeling on the side for quite a few years with amateur photographers, just as a fun hobby. It struck her that maybe the career she was looking for had been staring her in the face the whole time.

“I had this realization that I could actually make a living as an independent model,” she recalls.

Voss created an OnlyFans account, but didn’t initially dive in fully.

“I was actually faceless on OnlyFans for like six months,” she notes. “It took me that long to be able to say to myself, ‘Oh, I can keep up with this. This could be a long-term thing for me.’ I didn’t want all of that out there if it was only going to be a few months.”

After six months, though, she felt confident that she was on the right track and wanted to work in the adult space.

“That’s when I decided to go all-in,” she affirms. “I started showing everything.”

A Whole New World

Soon, Voss graduated from glamour and boudoir modeling to the kind of fetish content that she’s since become famous for.

“I started getting offers to make femdom clips,” she recalls. “I was very interested in anything fetish, so I was like, ‘Sure, I’ll give it a try.’ And pretty much immediately, I loved it!”

Suddenly, she was exploring an entirely new genre.

“I think my first clip was orgasm denial, and then the next one was chastity,” Voss says. “I had no idea that all this even existed. It was like, ‘Oh my God, a whole new world has opened up for me!’

Once those clips came out, Voss was inundated with requests from fans to start creating her own female domination content — but the biggest transition was yet to come.

“The offer was always on the table for me to do studio porn,” Voss says. “I just was not ready yet, mentally, to enter that space. I had experienced mental health issues, so I kind of needed to get right first.”

Voss finally did her first pro shoot in 2024: a girl/girl scene for TeamSkeet, alongside Leah Gotti. Since then, she’s shot for some of the biggest studios in the industry, working with some of the biggest names.

“I really enjoyed working with Jax Slayher,” she enthuses. “Not only was he very nice — and he’s obviously attractive! — but he was also very helpful. He gave me really good advice about the industry, which he obviously didn’t have to share. I found that to be really cool.”

Voss also fondly recalls shooting her first three-girl scene, with Octavia Red and Millie Morgan.

“Octavia is a phenomenal performer,” Voss marvels. “And Millie is amazing. I love her personality. She’s just so fun to be around.

“I really love doing girl/girl now, but I’ve also honestly enjoyed just trying all the different aspects of the industry,” she reflects. “Last year was like a big experimentation year for me.”

Asked what her favorite genre is, however, Voss remains committed to her roots.

“I still love anything that has a fetish vibe,” she affirms. “I’m very big into fetish, and prefer to play the more dominant role in those scenarios.”

‘A basic-ass bitch!’

When not busy shooting, Voss enjoys indulging in some recently discovered hobbies.

“I got a boat!” she exclaims. “I love going out on the water. I live near Tampa. You can just jet on out to the ocean in about 45 minutes from there. It’s really nice to go island-hopping across the barrier islands.

“I actually ended up hiring a captain to teach me how to drive it,” she confides. “I did grow up boating, but it’s very different on the ocean in Florida compared to the lakes in Texas.”

Voss also does some of her relaxing in the kitchen, where she’s been refining her culinary technique.

“I cook a little bit of everything,” she says. “I was vegan for quite a while, and it’s kind of hard to cook really tasty vegan food. So when I started eating meat again five years ago, I figured I’d better test everything out in the kitchen.”

Luckily, she had a willing test subject for her experimentation: her then-boyfriend, now her husband.

“He loves to eat and to cook,” she says. “So I felt like this was a skill I needed to work on. I was very focused on my health, too — making everything tasty, but healthy.”

For example?

“I learned how to make a healthier, home-cooked version of a Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme!” Voss laughs. “Living in a small town in Florida, there’s nowhere to go and eat. So there’s even more motivation to make a nice meal at home.”

Voss’ homelife is decidedly different from her “goth barbie” professional persona.

“When I chat with fans, I think a lot of them are surprised by just how normal my life is outside of porn,” Voss muses.

“I’m married, I’ve got my little doggie kids here,” she says, pointing to her two labradoodles. “A lot of people in the industry are ‘lifestylers,’ and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. But when I come home, I want to be a basic-ass bitch! I want to be boring as fuck. I want to be sitting in my pajamas with a glass of wine, not doing anything.”

Opening the Next Door

Voss may have a penchant for kicking back lazily during her downtime, but when it comes to her future in the industry, she has big plans and energetic ambitions.

“There are a number of studios I want to shoot for,” she says. “I would love to work with Elegant Angel — I haven’t worked with them yet. And New Sensations! I love the style of those two studios. I love the romantic, sexy vibe, with a little bit of a dark twist in some of the scenes.”

Voss also hopes to experiment more with virtual reality content.

“I’ve done three or four VR scenes,” she reports. “I feel like I’m really, really good at shooting VR.”

More than anything, however, she wants to do more group scenes.

“I’ve yet to step into anything over a threesome,” she notes. “So this year I’m hoping to maybe do a gangbang, a blowbang, an orgy…

“Those are all doors that are open for me right now,” she declares. “I’m ready.”
