LOS ANGELES — Jim Powers' Gender X Films feature "Transpirella" was named Best Trans Movie at the 2026 XMA Awards, marking the director's very first XMA win.
"I really enjoy my work, and this movie was something I passionately wanted to do for some time," said Powers. "It’s amazing to do what you love for work, but to also win an award for it is just incredible. Ariel really killed it in the role, and everyone really brought it. 'Transpirella' turned out to be everything I wanted and more. Thank you, XBIZ, for the recognition."
Powers also directed the Gender X feature "Trans Orgy," which won Best Sex Scene — Trans.
