LOS ANGELES — Multi-XMAs winner Cherie DeVille will join three panels at XBIZ LA, taking place Jan. 12-15, at the Kimpton Everly Hotel.
On Jan. 13, from 2-2:50 p.m. (PST) in the Nichols I Ballroom, DeVille will moderate “Aspiring Talent: Your Name in Lights.” The session features Kira Noir, Anna Claire Clouds, Octavia Red, Ryan Reid, Jennifer White, Lulu Chu, and Hailey Rose. It centers on scene prep, on-set expectations, and what it takes to move from creator to studio work.
Next, on Jan. 14, from 12-12:50 p.m. in the Graham Boardroom, DeVille will join Constance Penley, Lynn Comella, Heather Berg, Patrick Keilty, Hannah Wohl, and Paul Maginn for “UC Santa Barbara Presents: Porn Studies in Action,” a discussion on turning academic research about sex work and the industry into public-facing scholarship aimed at shaping cultural understanding and policy.
Later that afternoon, from 2-2:50 p.m. in the Nichols I Ballroom, DeVille will join ASA founding members in the “Adult Studio Alliance Presents: Safer Together” panel. Moderated by Asa Akira, the panel will focus on the ASA Code of Conduct and how shared standards can help make respect and performer safety the norm on production sets.
“I really value being part of spaces like this where people are genuinely trying to learn from each other,” said DeVille. “Whether it’s helping newer performers understand how the business works or talking with scholars about how our industry is discussed and studied, it feels good to contribute to conversations that actually move things forward.”
