HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jade Venus and Ariel Demure are the latest guests on the "And Now We Drink" podcast, hosted by Matt Slayer.
In the episode, Venus and Demure share candid stories about their time in the industry and the challenges they face as trans performers due to how they feel society perceives them. They also discuss why their work leaves them feeling empowered.
“This was a lot of fun and we really kept Matt on his toes — at times, he didn’t know if he was coming or going,” said Venus. “I think he gained a valuable education on what it’s like to be trans in the industry and the world. It was Ariel’s second appearance and my first, but I would definitely love to come on again sometime.”
Demure also enthused about the episode.
“I was ecstatic to do Matt’s show again,” she said. “It was the first stop on our whirlwind tour of media for 'The Naughty Nanny' parody [due Nov. 26], and I was happy to do it. It was even more fun than my first appearance on the show. Matt is a great host, and this is a wonderful episode.”
