Performer Jeanna Fine Passes Away at 61

NEW YORK — Performer Jeanna Fine has passed away at age 61, her family has confirmed.

Fine's passing last month was brought to attention this week on Facebook by her friend and former roommate, Thomas Taliaferro (aka Tom Byron).

"The legendary Jeanna Fine has left the building," wrote Taliaferro. "Jeanna was great to go clubbing with. She knew every club owner and bouncer in Hollywood, so we were VIP all the time and never had to wait in line."

The two of them also shared a house in the Hollywood Hills and threw "crazy parties" that would sometimes last for days.

"Eventually, the lifestyle became a little too much for me, and I moved away. But I have an abundance of awesome memories and was happy when Jeanna found some peace later in life and raised a family," Taliaferro wrote, alluding to Fine's son, Braxton.

"So long, toots. Thanks for letting me be a part of your crazy life," he added.

Born and raised in upstate New York, Fine joined the adult industry in 1986 when she was in her early 20s. She broke out in films such as "Steal Breeze," "Hothouse Rose," and "Brandy and Alexander" before going on to lead acclaimed titles, including "Skin Hunger," "My Surrender" and "Cafe Flesh 2."

Fine also turned heads with her supporting performances in "Dear Diary," which paired her with Steven St. Croix and Jordan St. James, and "Miscreants," in which she shared a scene with Tiffany Mynx and Stephanie Swift.

Additionally, Fine earned high marks for "Double Cross," her girl/girl scene with Nici Sterling and a double-headed dildo.

During her time in the industry, she was romantically linked to fellow performers Sikki Nixx and Savannah, though Fine eventually left California to return to New York to care for her ailing mother.

"I'm heartbroken," veteran makeup artist Alan C. Bosshardt wrote on Facebook. "Jeanna was one of my favorites. I was her makeup artist on so many productions and did her makeup for her wedding. Whenever we worked in San Francisco, she would drag me out clubbing with her," he fondly recalled.

Sonny Chase, who used to work as a valet at a strip club in Upland, California, also shared fond memories of Fine.

"Jeanna was always the coolest, chillest, nicest main attraction I ever dealt with. It was a night off when she was there. Much love," he wrote.

Fine's prolific career led to a small role as a dancer in the 1999 crime film "The Boondock Saints." It has been nearly a decade since Fine last posted on social media, though she was consistently appreciative of her fans.
