CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Adult retailer Hubba Hubba has launched a GoFundMe to raise funds for store repairs and to pay its bills.
Municipal construction in 2023 led to water seepage, resulting in the need for extensive repairs to bring the building back up to code.
The company’s fundraising goals include paying back taxes and bills, making the space safe for the four years remaining in its lease, and launching an educational program and newsletter, among other plans.
“Hubba Hubba, like most other small businesses, has been hit hard by recent market conditions like city structure changes, tariffs, loss of tourists and international students, rising costs, and surprisingly, climate change,” said a rep. “Keeping sexual health education, LGBTQIA+ equity, safe spaces, and community-focused, local businesses operating helps keep our democracy strong. Please help us keep the conversation going as we navigate this rough patch.”
