LOS ANGELES — "The Boys" showrunner Eric Kripke has teamed with Adam & Eve on the release of a new stroker based on Ambrosius the Octopus ahead of the Season 2 premiere of Amazon's spinoff series, "Gen V."
"For years, I have been dreaming of making a 'Boys'-themed sex toy," said Kripke. "Finally, the good folks at Adam & Eve have answered my prayers and have created this beauty, Ambrosius the Octopus, where you can have your own herogasm."
The stroker will go on sale at Adam & Eve stores on Oct. 8, which coincides with World Octopus Day.
"When I was a boy in Ohio, staring up at the stars, I dreamt that one day I would write a show that would inspire a sex toy, and here we are," added Kripke.
Voiced by Tilda Swinton, Ambrosius was a character on "The Boys" who was killed in Season 4 by her interspecies lover, The Deep (Chace Crawford). The series will end next year with its fifth season, and "Gen V" is an ongoing spinoff.
