Screw Magazine Launches GoFundMe to Revive Print Edition

NEW YORK — Screw Magazine publisher Phil Italiano has launched a GoFundMe to resurrect the print edition in the New York City market before the end of the year.

Originally published by Al Goldstein, Screw Magazine debuted in 1968 and was the first publication to offer critical reviews of adult films, though its last printed issue was released in 2003.

Italiano spent the next decade working alongside Goldstein to maintain and grow the brand. Goldstein died in 2013, and Italiano kept Screw TV going until 2021, when Roku banned adult channels.

The all-new Screw magazine aims to bring back popular features such as Dirty Diversions, Smut from the Past, and Shit List. It will also offer a calendar of adult events and feature adult advertisements.

Italiano plans to make it available for free at various adult stores and gentlemen's clubs throughout New York, as well as via low-cost subscription to those outside the city.
