HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Producers of a prospective mainstream film titled "Adam & Evie," which will feature Jade Venus, have launched a crowdfunding campaign.
The film was written and will be directed by Jesse Heisel. Its plot was described by a rep as a "Shakespearean-style love story for the modern era," centered around a disabled man falling in love with a transgender woman. The funding will go toward the film's production, festival submissions, and theatrical release.
“I remember when Jesse came to me with the project, and I knew this story must be told," said Venus. "It’s a beautiful love story that shows the underdog winning and getting the love they truly deserve. I’m very excited to be working on my first mainstream project and am honored that Jesse cast me as Evie. Many of my fans have had a mere glimpse of my acting in my scenes, but they’ve never seen me quite like this. Make sure to become a backer of the Indiegogo campaign. Every dollar counts, so give as much as you can and tell your friends.”
