Jameson Begins Fund; Agency Has Alternatives

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Adult actress Jenna Jameson and her husband, producer Jay Grdina, have formed the Adult Industry Assistance Fund (AIAF) to help out actors idled by the HIV scare that has shut down most of the adult industry.

“Lots of people in our industry live from paycheck to paycheck, and it is only fair for us to try to help out,” said Grdina, who is also known as Justin Sterling. “We will work with other industry leaders to set up criteria for distributing the money we raise, but essentially it will go to people who are in dire financial straits because they have been quarantined themselves, or have lost their jobs because productions they were working on have been shut down.”

Meanwhile, Los Angeles-based Creative Image Management and Casting is attempting to find work for some of the nearly 4,000 adult actors who may be out of work while a 60-day voluntary moratorium over production takes place.

“For the new girls I have not met, or who are experiencing immediate financial problems, they can contact me and I will promise to set-up a meeting at once to see if I can move them forward into the loop as quickly as possible,” Creative Image’s Robert Lombard wrote in a press release.

Lombard said he needs at least 40 principle actors for “R”- rated features airing on DirecTV, BSkyB, HBO/Latin and Cinemax.

Contributions by check may be sent to AIAF c/o ClubJenna Inc., 8390 E. Via de Ventura, Suite F-110 # 258, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. Further information is available at www.adultfund.com.
