SAN FRANCISCO — Pink and White Productions has announced a free screening event, "Documenting Dyke Desires: Lesbian and Queer Porn, Pleasure, and Politics in 1990s San Francisco," on May 16 at 7 p.m. (PDT) at the Folsom Center.
It is a "one-night only event that revisits and celebrates the revolutionary sex-positive lesbian scene that emerged in the Bay Area during the 1990s," said a rep. Free for attendees, the event will feature a screening of the 1993 production "Safe is Desire," which the rep described as "a groundbreaking lesbian safer sex film, praised for its bold representation of lesbian sexuality and commitment to sexual health."
A panel discussion about the legacy of 1990s lesbian porn and other topics will follow. Early arrival is recommended.
