LOS ANGELES — Noted photographer-turned-cinematographer Siren Obscura has made her solo directorial debut for multi-XMAs winner Seth Gamble's LucidFlix.
The release, titled "Room 13," is the first episode of the studio's new series, "Nocturna," and stars Gamble with newly crowned XMAs Girl/Girl Performer of the Year Lilly Bell.
"In 'Room 13,' Obscura transports viewers to a glamorous, high-fashion world of light and fantasy," the synopsis reveals. "Bell takes center stage as Luna, a young woman who wasn't expecting company, but when Riley (Gamble) steps into the titular room, neither of them acts surprised. The air between them hums with unspoken tension, setting the stage for a game neither wants to acknowledge but both intend to play. He watches. She waits. When their lips finally meet, slowly and deliberately, the question isn’t how this started — it’s whether it was ever meant to end."
Gamble enthused about Obscura's direction.
"Siren operates with an exacting eye. Every choice — light, shadow, framing — is intentional," he said. "She builds a world where the unspoken carries as much weight as the action itself. There’s a method to her process. She strips away the unnecessary, isolates what matters, and the result is visceral. You don’t just watch — you feel it."
