MONTREAL — Penny Barber stars with Max Fills in the latest episode of Pure Taboo series "Future Darkly," titled "Virtual Immorality."
Barber stars as a widow overwhelmed by loneliness after her stepson Darryl (Fills) goes back to college. Soothing herself in an AI fantasy world, she finds companionship in a virtual version of Darryl himself. The only way Darryl can pull his stepmom back to reality is by offering her a real-world version of the taboo relationship she's become dependent on.
