XBIZ Awards Show Rebrands as the XMAs, Pre-Noms Open Amid Slew of Updates

LOS ANGELES — Over two decades, the XBIZ Awards have become the Adult Industry’s Biggest Night®. Expanding from the flagship Hollywood extravaganza to special editions in Miami and Amsterdam, the coveted golden “X” trophy has come to symbolize the pinnacle of celebration for outstanding works and innovations. Building on this legacy, XBIZ Media is pleased to announce the rebranding of the awards series as the XMAs, with a unified website that showcases highlights from past ceremonies and serves as a hub for details on future editions.

The refreshed brand identity, designed to underscore the global influence of the awards program and its evolution from industry roots, now encompasses the widest array of categories in the event’s history, expanded and refined to further elevate the adult sphere in media narratives and captivate an even broader audience.

For the upcoming flagship January edition of the XMAs, presented by premier creator platform Fansly, categories are organized into the following three branches: Movies & Production, Digital Media (formerly Web & Tech) and Pleasure & Retail.

This year’s awards category changes related to movie production include the return of Best Comedy Movie and Best Comedy Sex Scene, along with the introduction of a new Best Orgy Sex Scene category to acknowledge the intricate logistics and heightened coordination required for such scenes.

Furthermore, the all-inclusive awards categories recognizing creators have been refreshed to Creator of the Year - Streaming, Creator of the Year - Clips and Creator of the Year - Premium Social.

Additionally, under the Pleasure & Retail branch, the list of categories has been streamlined to emphasize product quality and innovation, and three new categories have been introduced: Best Specialty Product, Best Novelty/Gift Product and Best Accessory Product.

Rounding out the updates, the XMAs is introducing Fan Favorite categories. The fan-voted categories are Fav Female Performer, Fav Male Performer, Fav Girl/Girl Performer, Fav MILF Performer, Fav Gay Performer, Fav Trans Performer, Fav New Performer, Fav Female Creator, Fav Male Creator, Fav MILF Creator, Fav Gay Creator, Fav Trans Creator and Fav New Creator.

Please note that pre-nominations for Fan Favorite categories will run separately, from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31.

To be eligible for nomination, movies, scenes, and pleasure products must have been released, and newly launched websites or brands must have debuted, between Oct. 1, 2023, and Sept. 30, 2024. No more than five entries per category may be submitted by any individual, brand or representative acting on their behalf.

Industry professionals who are registered members of XBIZ.net can access the pre-nominations portal here through Sept. 30.

Links to digital content, marketing materials and/or website access information must be provided via the entry forms.
