ERIKALUST Marks 20th Anniversary With Events, Book

BARCELONA, Spain — ERIKALUST is commemorating its 20th anniversary with a series of events and the publication of “Erika Lust Archives: 2004-2024,” a photography book.

This year marks two decades since Erika Lust made her first-ever erotic short film, “The Good Girl,” which a rep noted began “a mission to expand the perspective from which pornography was being made. In 2004, she decided that she was going to challenge the social perceptions of what porn could be and harness its power to upend patriarchal norms. Today, Erika Lust has produced over 300 erotic films.”

To celebrate the anniversary, Lust will host exclusive events, stream “The Good Girl” and publish a 200-page hardcover photography book.

The book, the rep added, explores “the broad spectrum of human sexuality, beyond heteronormativity, in which Erika and her community of collaborators look back on their extensive body of work and share their firsthand experiences of working together.”

“Erika Lust Archives: 2004-2024” features interviews with Stoya, Maximus Skaff, María Riot and Lust’s partner, Pablo Dobner, as well as crew members, sexologists and others.

“I believe that everybody deserves pleasure, that all bodies are inherently desirable, and their very existence is cause for celebration,” Lust said. “I believe that pleasure is power and that by showing people of different genders, sexualities, races, sizes and ages enjoying themselves, we can all begin picturing ourselves in control over our own sexuality — and dare to explore our desires more deeply.”
