Casey Calvert Wraps Production on 'Spun' for Girlsway

MONTREAL — Director Casey Calvert has wrapped production on "Spun," the upcoming feature from Girlsway, starring Chanel Camryn.

The title also features Electra Rayne, Dana Vespoli, Lauren Phillips, Freya Parker, Maya Woulfe, Lulu Chu, Liz Jordan and Alexis Tae, as well as Adult Time CCO Bree Mills in a cameo.

"Spun" is "a Y2K-inspired dramedy that weaves together popular themes from Girlsway’s past successes with Casey's distinctive real-world filmmaking approach," said a rep.

Calvert elaborated on the project.

"'Spun' is an all-girl movie about playing spin the bottle, but at its heart it’s a story about an unrequited crush and finally getting the one that got away," she said. "For my directorial return to Girlsway, I wanted to combine giving the diehard fans the hot lesbian sex they love with my indie filmmaking aesthetic. My cast, led by Chanel Camryn, were all incredible and I’m so proud of the work they’ve done this past week. I want to thank Bree Mills and the entire team at Adult Time for welcoming me back home so warmly. I’m really happy with what we shot, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it."

Camryn enthused about the shoot.

"It's been amazing," she said. "It's been so fun. I really have stepped out of my comfort zone in the sense of doing things that I'm not used to doing. And it's been great just to see how much more than just the sexual stuff that I can do. It’s a meaningful storyline that's legit and like Real World that I can get into it. It's so nice to immerse in the characters. It's been really fun. I also love how organized everything is here. They're doing a great job of moving things along quickly and keeping it together. So, it's just been great. I would love to do this again and I'm just so happy to be here."

Added Mills, "I can’t wait to see features make their return to Girlsway. After all, it’s where so many of our careers originated."

"Spun" will premiere on Girlsway.
