New York Magazine's 'Strategist' Names the Best Sex Toys for Men

NEW YORK — New York magazine’s product recommendations site, The Strategist, has released a rundown on “26 of the Very Best Sex Toys for Men.”

The site conducted a survey of 19 sex shop owners and employees, sex educators, sex therapists, sex coaches and sex podcasters.

“A lot of people are surprised that there can be products for men,” Good Vibrations Educational Outreach Coordinator Andy Duran told The Strategist. Duran noted that vibrators, for instance, are assumed to be designed for women, but that “the reality is that our bodies are all pretty similar. We all have nerve endings that respond to vibration, or touch or stimulation.”

The Strategist selected the Je Joue Mio Vibrating Cock Ring as its best overall sex toy for men.

Rings, The Strategist’s Dominique Pariso wrote, “are like two toys in one. While the wearer gets the benefits of blood-flow restriction, your partner will feel that vibration on their body during intercourse.

“Even if you end up not liking a vibrating ring, you still can use the toy as a vibrator or ring separately,” Pariso added.

Pariso called the Je Joue ring “the best in its class for both comfort and power. The Mio is a favorite in the category because of the powerful motor, streamlined design, and the rumbly, deep, vibrations it creates.”

Other top rings for men, according to the magazine, were the Screaming O Vibrating Ring, the We-Vibe Pivot and the Ohnut Intimate Wearable Ring.

The best overall stroker, according to the survey, is the Tenga Flip Zero.

Steve V. Rodriguez, creator and host of the Talk About Gay Sex podcast, praised the Flip Zero’s  “grooves and bubbles and cutouts that are going to make you feel really good and let you explore different sensations your genitalia has never felt before.”

Other selections on the list include: the nJoy Pure Wand as "best overall prostate toy," the nJoy Pure Plug named "best overall anal toy" and the "best anal beads" title going to Fun Factory Flexi Felix.
