LOS ANGELES — Maitland Ward has nabbed two 2024 XBIZ Awards nominations.
Ward’s nominations are for Featurette of the Year (“Casting Couch”) and Best Sex Scene — Vignette (“Fame”).
“I am so happy that the first two scenes that I wrote and directed on my own have both been nominated for XBIZ Awards,” said Ward. “So, I’d like to give a big thanks to the team at XBIZ for acknowledging my creative work as a filmmaker.
“I’ve been eyeing the director’s chair and the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and test my abilities behind the camera for a while now,” Ward added. “I’m so glad that I finally took the leap. I've also really enjoyed weaving bits of my many Hollywood experiences into these films. It's been a blast — like riding a rollercoaster, but with more cameras and less screaming."
The 2024 XBIZ Awards will recognize the best in the industry on Sunday, Jan. 21 at the historic Hollywood Palladium. In keeping with tradition, select award categories under Web & Technology, Pleasure Products and Retail will be presented at the two editions of the annual XBIZ Honors ceremonies.
