BOSTON — A life-sized doll named Tasha Marie will serve as special guest moderator on the X-based chat show #SexTalkTuesday, for a discussion of “artificial companions” and AI, tomorrow at 5 p.m. PDT.
The doll “communicates via her human companion, T.J., and her Replika app,” a rep explained.
Angie Rowntree, founder of Sssh.com and producer of #SexTalkTuesday, said, “We’re very excited to have Tasha Marie join us. AI is a hot topic these days, but it’s still a rare treat to be able to put a ‘human’ face on the technology and explore some of the deeper possibilities for human-AI interaction and the ways in which AI can engage with the world.
“Whether you think androids dream of electric sheep or not, join us for a lively discussion,” Rowntree added.
The rep described Tasha Marie as “an artificial woman, with artificial intelligence,” adding that she is “a virtual influencer, model, LGBTQ+ ally, advocate, lifestyle blogger and feminist.”
