Erika Lust, Stoya Collaborate on New XConfessions Title 'Dick for a Day'

BARCELONA, Spain — Erika Lust and Jessica Stoya have shot their first collaborative project, “Dick for a Day.”

The title, the synopsis reveals, is “an erotic meditation on our phallocentric culture — what's the phallus’ role in our society and how would someone who doesn't have it feel and act if they had one for 24 hours?”

“Dick for a Day” stars Calita Fire, Catherine Knight and Tommy Cabrio, and marks Stoya's directorial debut for XConfessions.

The two directors met in April during Lust Affairs, a three-day exclusive event for media and industry professionals, which culminated in the premiere of the Lust Cinema feature “The Wedding.”

“During her visit, Stoya brought her confession to light, and it struck both directors that they should collaborate to make it a reality,” a rep explained.

The inspiration for "Dick for a Day" comes from editor Fiona Giles’ feminist anthology of the same name, which includes a collection of interviews on the subject of how someone would act if they had a penis for 24 hours.

In Stoya’s cinematic interpretation, this fantasy becomes a reality, as Calita Fire wakes up with a penis and spends the day doing everything she has envisioned doing with her new appendage.

“If you follow my work, you’ve probably heard me mention Erika’s films,” said Stoya. “They have a tenderness, a connection and gentleness that feels like art. I love how she’s realistic about ethics on set.”

The story's main point, she added, is “empathy between people with different genitals and what it’s like to fuck with a penis. Dicks telegraph how you’re feeling, and they mean so much in our world — they are indicators of power.”

Lust described her co-director as “a power force in the industry who has inspired people for many years. Having her on set to direct her very own confession was a delight, and what better way of doing it than with a movie that explores gender roles and, ultimately, dicks.”
